Claudia Badell is an agile enthusiast with a strong background in software testing and more than 18 years of experience. She is passionate about building and fostering a whole-team approach towards testing and quality. She works as a Software Testing Consultant & Trainer at Jigso Labs. She co-organizes meetups, webinars and TestingUy, one of the most important testing conferences in Latin America. Claudia has spoken in different meetups, webinars and conferences. She wrote The fascinating path of evolving as testers section in chapter 11 of Janet Gregory and Lisa Crispin’s new book, Agile Testing Condensed (2019), and she also translated the Holistic Testing: Strategies for agile teams course into Spanish.

Claudia has a Computer Engineer degree from Universidad de la República. She has taken the Foundations and Bug Advocacy courses by the Association for Software Testing, has completed both the Agile Testing Essentials tutorial and the Holistic Testing For Continuous Delivery course with Janet Gregory & Lisa Crispin and both the Rapid Software Testing course and Using Risk Guide to Testing tutorial with Michael Bolton. She also holds Scrum Master, ICP-ATA and ISTQB Foundation certifications.

She worked at Infragistics for 10 years, having different roles (Product Development Team Lead, Senior Quality Engineer Team Lead and Senior Quality Engineer), always being part of a software product development team, defining the testing strategies and evangelizing a testing mindset in the team. Previously, Claudia worked as a Test Manager where she defined and implemented testing processes for several teams and trained them in functional test automation. She also worked as a Tester in a wide range of software testing projects and she also was a teacher at the Computing Science Department within the School of Engineering at Universidad de la República for 7 years, participating in testing and programming courses.
